ETIRS PRESSURE TRANSDUCERS

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Mensor, LP (CAGE 14178) in San Marcos, TX for the procurement of QTY 54 Premium Precision Pressure Transducers – Model CPT9000 in support of the Engine Test Instrumentation Replacement Systems (ETIRS) pressure transducers.

The Government intends to procure the above items under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Mensor, LP is the only manufacturer of a pressure transducer that can meet the Government’s ETIRS requirement for direct digital output, pressure ranges, exterior ambient temperature range and required calibration interval requirement..

This notification is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
