Overview
Summary

The Escambia County Information Technology Department is soliciting letters of interest from qualified firms within the United States who can provide a fully integrated DRaaS (Disaster Recovery as a Service) solution that will provide cloud-based data backup services and a single point of access and management across a heterogeneous network environment.

Background

The Escambia County Information Technology (IT) Department is responsible for providing critical technology infrastructure and services to support county government operations. To ensure that essential services remain available in the event of an emergency or disaster, the IT Department seeks proposals for Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solutions.

Disaster Recovery (DR) is a fundamental component of our IT strategy to safeguard data, applications, and infrastructure from unexpected disruptions, such as natural disasters, cyber-attacks, or hardware failures. A reliable and resilient disaster recovery plan ensures that the county can quickly recover and resume its operations with minimal downtime and data loss.

In alignment with the county’s IT resilience goals, the IT Department seeks DRaaS solutions that will provide robust cloud-based backup and recovery options, offering flexibility for different levels of disaster recovery readiness. This solicitation is intended to identify potential vendors who can provide either a full hot site or a hybrid hot/warm site solution, depending on our recovery needs.
