Erosion and Interim Earthworks Repairs of Buffalo Pound Dam

Currently, Buffalo Pound Dam is experiencing severe seepage and erosion along the downstream embankment by the oxbow. WSA requires the successful respondent to develop a rehabilitation design of this section of the embankment and address the settlement issue on the crest.

WSA anticipates that this project will be completed in two (2) phases:

Phase 1: Preliminary and Detailed Design
Phase 2: Construction Management and Closeout*

It is WSA’s intention to retain the services of the successful respondent through all indicated phases.

*Subject to project outcomes in Phase 1, respondent performance, WSA budget availability, and WSA final approval.

WSA is a Treasury Board Crown corporation within the meaning of The Crown Corporations Act, 1993 (Saskatchewan) that is governed by The Water Security Agency Act (Saskatchewan). WSA is responsible for water management in the Province of Saskatchewan, which includes managing the Province’s water supply, protecting water quality, ensuring safe drinking water and the treatment of wastewater, reducing flood and drought damage, protecting aquatic habitat, and managing dams and related supply channels.
