Equalization Basin Gates Upgrade

Project Description: The Sunbury Municipal Authority (Owner) will receive sealed bids for the Equalization Basin Gates Upgrade, CP Project No. 410 — Contract No. 1. The Work is located at the Sunbury WWTP, Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. CP Engineers, LLC is the Engineer. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m., local prevailing time, on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the Sunbury WWTP, where the Work is to be performed. Attendance is strongly encouraged. Bidders are responsible for verifying existing conditions affecting the Work. The Construction Project is generally described as:
• Base Bid: removal and replacement of five (5) existing aluminum slide gates at Aeration Tank T-14 — two 30" x 30" upward-opening and three 72" x 36" downward-opening weir gates
• Unit Price Work, as authorized by the Owner: removal and replacement of up to seven (7) additional slide gates of the same two types at Aeration Tanks T-11, T-12 and T-13
• Minor concrete and metal fabrication as necessary for fully functional gates
• Associated minor work to maintain operation of the equalization basins
The Work shall be substantially complete by April 30, 2027. This Project is funded by the Owner's existing cash reserves and is subject to Pennsylvania public bidding and prevailing wage requirements.
