This notice of intended decision to enter into a sole/single source contract is posted. Failure to
file a written protest with the City’s Procurement Manager within 15 days (Excluding Saturday,
Sunday, and City Holidays) from the date and time of posting this notice of intended decision
shall constitute a waiver of the Vendor’s right to protest.

This notice is auto-renewable annually based on the continuation of the equipment use.

Algonac boat hoists are currently in place at the City of Punta Gorda’s Water Treatment Plant.
The motors used in the hoists are proprietary and are only available from one manufacturer.
Intended source (vendor/contractor): Gabel Welding dba Minderman Marine
Price: Estimated Annual Expenditure - $8,000.00

Minderman Marine has proprietary rights over the motors for Algonac boat hoists. Sole Source
letter is on file.
