The City of Kelowna is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from potential suppliers for the provision and delivery of organic products to the Regional Biosolids Composting Facility (RBCF). This EOI aims to assess market interest before possibly proceeding to a competitive bidding process. The RBCF, located at 551 Commonage Road within the North Okanagan Regional District, processes biosolids from Kelowna, Vernon, and other nearby wastewater treatment plants, combining them with wood products to create high-quality, nutrient-rich Class A compost, as defined by the Organic Matter Recycling Regulation (OMRR). The City requires the delivery of 50,000 to 75,000 cubic yards per year of hog fuel or alternative woody materials to the facility.
