The Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West (MRCO-W) has an upcoming requirement for Enhanced Vyleater Vial Disposal System Model II-Xe., for the Department of Pathology and Area Laboratory Services (DPALS), San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), Fort Sam Houston, TX. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Price purchase order for this requirement. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is – 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, business size standard of 1000 employees. Responses to the Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility in providing the items listed above. Do not submit pricing information in response to this Sources Sought. Interested sources should submit a Statement of Capability (3-page limit) detailing their capability to provide the surgical equipment requested to Brooke Army Medical Center (JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX). Additionally, please provide the following information:
1) Organization's name, CAGE code, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. Please advise if the requirement can be met through a contract vehicle the source already has (i.e. VA FSS contract number).
Contractors responding to this sources sought notice are advised their response does not ensure

Minimum Clinical Performance Requirements
SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
• The device must be able to accommodate vials in their whole form
• The device must be explosion resistant to substances with a flash point of 27 °C / 81
°F
• The devise should separate solid waste materials in a separate container from the
liquid waste.
• The device should be self-contained
• The disposal system must comply with hazard waste guidelines
• The device should not alter the waste material
• The device should come with training for all technicians that will be required to utilize
it
• The device should be able to withstand mild exposure to environmental elements, ie
sun, humidity, wind
• The device needs to accommodate approximately 300 vials being disposed of per
day, with each vial holding approximately 20ml of methanol-based solution
• The regional technical support and service from manufacturer should be available in
case that the parts need to be ordered to repair
• The operators training support should be available as requested.
• The device should be simple and easy to use for non-experienced operators
• The device should be durable and easy to clean

This equipment is to be installed on BAMC loading dock. Manufacture will deliver and install.
Maintenance services are done through BAMC Biomed. No other supplies services are needed.
