In an attempt to expedite our future selection process and optimize your time, we are again requesting a statement of interest and qualification from consulting firms interested in providing engineering services to the City of Lenexa. When small, non-CIP projects arise, we will short list, interview, and select from this pool of interested engineering firms. Our intention is to request Statements of Interest on an annual basis.

If your firm is interested in being considered for any or all of the following types of projects, please express your interest and present your qualifications.

Pavement, storm sewer, street lighting, sidewalk, and streetscape (projects may vary from one and two block reconstruction projects to major multi-lane arterial facilities)

Drainage facility improvements, detention, retention, bio- engineering, channel restoration/improvements, erosion control, drainage studies, and SMAC funded projects

Traffic signal improvements and traffic studies

Inspection services including but not limited to LPA projects

Park improvements, shelters, pools, athletic fields and other.

Please select the areas(s) of your firm’s expertise and submit a unique and specific expression of interest and qualification for each category of project that you wish to be given consideration (i.e. a separate and distinct submission for each category). We are especially interested in knowing the following; project experience, client references, innovative designs, unique projects, experience of key personnel, and philosophy regarding project approach.

We request electronic submittal in PDF format only. There is no limit on number of pages that may be submitted, however, if you are sending your Statement of Interest via email (submit to Kathy McCabe, kmccabe@lenexa.com ) please note that the City has a 50 MB limitation for email attachments. We will accept the submittals either on CDs or email attachments but not via paper copy. Please include a point of contact with your submission.

Please label each of the PDF file(s) with your firm’s name followed by the type of project type (again, one file for each project category). For example:

• Acme Engineering – Roadway Design.pdf
• Acme Engineering – Storm Drainage Design.pdf
• Acme Engineering – Traffic Engineering Services.pdf
• Acme Engineering – Construction Observation Services.pdf
• Acme Engineering – Parks Facility Design.pdf

Note that RFQs for specific projects may be posted at the City of Lenexa's website, including major improvement (CIP) projects or services that do not fit a category listed above.

Please also note that the City will not send reminders to consultants on these items, but rather request that each consultant periodically monitor the City's website for RFQs of interest.

• This is not an RFQ for an actual project nor a pre-qualification list.

• No selections will be made at this time.

• This submittal purely indicates your firm's interest in being a possible resource to be considered at some point in 2025 when the City has an actual project need.
