Overview

Summary

The City of New Haven’s Office of Violence Prevention, supported by funding from the Department of Public Health, is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to Support employment and housing services as core strategies for preventing and intervening in violence and firearm-related injury.

This RFP invites qualified organizations to deliver services that address the social and economic factors contributing to community violence by increasing access to stable employment opportunities and safe, affordable housing.

Selected providers will deliver trauma-informed, equity-focused services that promote stability, reduce risk of violence and recidivism, and support long-term safety and wellbeing for individuals and communities most impacted by firearm-related violence and injury. Through this investment, the City of New Haven aims to strengthen community-based prevention efforts, advance public health approaches to violence reduction, and build safer, more resilient neighborhoods.
