The City of Gaithersburg Employer Investment Program provides post-retirement medical benefits to qualified retirees from the City. The Gaithersburg Employee Retirement Plan Committee is charged with overseeing and managing these benefits.
As of September 30, 2024, the City of Gaithersburg’s Employer Investment Program’s investment assets were valued at $32,597,580. All assets are invested in public mutual funds. During the 2023 Calendar Year, $1,519,517 was withdrawn to pay benefits and $1,695,100 was contributed to the fund.
