The City of Tucson is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Employee Benefits Consulting Services as described herein. The Consultant will provide ongoing collaborative and consultative services to assist in the development of the City's short- and long-term benefits management strategy.
The City of Tucson utilizes an Employee Benefits Consultant to serve as a collaborative and consultative support to the Benefits division and other internal departments, and a resource for expert information, compliance assurance, trend and innovation awareness, as well as actuarial and financial analysis to assist with the City's short- and long-term benefits management strategy.
The Employee Benefits Consultant will assist with selecting, purchasing, implementing, administering, and renewing all lines of coverage for the City of Tucson . The City of Tucson offers medical, prescription, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, long-term disability, life insurance, employee assistance program (EAP), and various voluntary benefits to approximately 4,200 benefits-eligible employees and approximately 4,000 benefits-eligible retirees. As of 7/1/2019, the City became self-insured for medical coverage and will become self-insured for their dental coverage, effective 7/1/2025.
