CITY OF KILLEEN, TEXAS

The City of Killeen will receive sealed proposals for 25-35 Emergency Back-up Generator(s) Rental For Citywide Use electronically through the City’s eProcurement Portal or addressed to the City of Killeen, Attn: Purchasing Division, 802 N. 2nd Street, Building E, 2nd Floor, Killeen, Texas 76541, until 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 . Mailed or hand delivered proposals must be sealed and plainly marked with the name and address of the proposer and “RFP NO. 25-35 Emergency Back-up Generator(s) Rental For Citywide Use , 3:00 pm , Wednesday, August 13, 2025 ”.

Submittals received after the closing time will be returned unopened.

Vendors may register and submit proposals electronically at https://procurement.opengov.com/login .

An Optional Pre-Proposal Meeting and Site Visit will be held at Thursday, August 7, 2025 , 8:30 am at Public Works-Transportation 3201-A South W.S. Young Drive Killeen TX 76540

Three (3) locations will be visited based on staff choice. Contractors may request additional at time of meeting.

RFP Questions will be accepted on the OpenGov e-bidding site , until 3:00 pm on Friday, August 8, 2025 . Questions will be answered in the form of an addendum and posted on the OpenGov e-bidding site . It is the proposer’s responsibility to obtain and acknowledge all addendums.

The City of Killeen is seeking proposals for the rental of emergency backup generators to ensure continuous operations during power outages or other emergency situations. These generators must be capable of powering critical systems, equipment, and facilities, ensuring the safety and operational readiness of Citywide operations. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to identify qualified vendors capable of providing reliable and timely rental services, including installation, maintenance, and technical support, while meeting the City's operational needs and compliance with FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) .

All rentals will be done on an As-needed or Emergency Services situation.
