Eagle County is soliciting statements of qualifications, experience, project approach, schedule, and preliminary pricing from qualified contractors for embankment, shoulder, base course, asphalt repair, sealcoat/slurry microcoat, fencing, and related trail repair services for the Eagle Valley Trail (the "Project"). This Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") is intended to identify a qualified contractor and, if the County elects, to negotiate and enter into a construction agreement for the Work. This RFQ will be non-exclusive. Eagle County reserves the right to contract with other third parties.

The Work and Project requirements are described in this RFQ and the following exhibits, which are incorporated into this RFQ: Exhibit A – 2026 Asphalt Repair Plan; Exhibit B – Eagle Valley Regional Trails Plan / Design and Construction Standards; Exhibit C - General Conditions to the Construction Agreement.

Statements must be sent to Kevin Sharkey, Eagle County ECO Trails Program Manager, via email to kevin.sharkey@eaglecounty.us or via ground shipping methods only, i.e. Fed Ex, UPS, or via hand delivery to the Eagle County ECO Trails Office, 3289 Cooley Mesa Road, Gypsum, CO 81637. Do not send proposals by U.S. Mail. Statements shall be submitted in a sealed envelope or with an email clearly marked:

“STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMBANKMENT, SHOULDER, BASE COURSE, AND ASPHALT REPAIR SERVICES FOR THE EAGLE VALLEY TRAIL”

Statements must be received by 2:00 p.m. on July 29, 2026.

Any statement received after this time will not be considered and will be returned to the respondent unopened unless good cause is shown as determined by Eagle County in its sole discretion. No telephone, or facsimile statements will be accepted. The RFQ document may be obtained electronically at www.eaglecounty.us .
