Project Overview
The City of Vadnais Heights recently approved a Parks and Trail System Plan which addresses needs across the city’s park system. Among other things, the plan prioritizes shade in the parks, and identifies the addition of several picnic shelters. Two parks have been selected for the initial phase of installations of the “mini shelters” identified in the plan. The shelter selected for this project phase is intended to establish the standard for the other mini shelters identified in the plan to be installed during later implementation phases. Priorities for these shelters will include: low maintenance materials, durability, and maximum shade benefits.
The City of Vadnais Heights is seeking quotes from qualified vendors for installation of two shelters in the 2026 season, one at
Greenhaven Park (4470 Greenhaven Drive)
and one at
Elmwood Park (3892 Elmwood Street)
.
