Sealed proposals will be received by City of Griffin, 100 S. Hill Street, Griffin, Georgia, 30223, until: 2:00 PM, local time, Tuesday, October 7, 2025 for the Project known as: CITY OF GRIFFIN ELLE'S WAY Bid #26-002 at which time and place the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. The OWNER of the project is City of Griffin. The ENGINEER for the project is LJA Engineering, Inc. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the gravel parking lot located to the east of 241 Blanton Avenue, Griffin, Georgia 30224. All attendees will be required to sign in. After an initial presentation by the Engineer, bidders will be allowed to tour the site and become familiar with the existing conditions. Attendance is not mandatory. The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: The project consists of grading and construction of 648 linear feet of 24¿-wide paved city street. Construction includes asphalt paving, concrete curb and gutter, a new 5¿-wide sidewalk on one side of the street, two stormwater inlets, and 18¿ RCP storm pipe. Construction of the street also includes installation of an 85¿-long Contech aluminum arch culvert with a live bottom. Utility work on the project includes the removal of approximately 120 linear feet of existing 12¿ VCP sanitary sewer and replacement with 12¿ DIP sewer main and the installation of two sanitary sewer manholes.
