INVITATION FOR BID

BID 20288 – High Point Detention Center Elevator Modernization

Bids will be received by the Guilford County Purchasing Department, at 207 East Green Drive, High Point,

North Carolina 27402, until 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, and immediately

thereafter publicly opened and read for High Point Detention Center Elevator Modernization.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid ZoomGov Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. You

may join the ZoomGov Meeting from your computer, tablet or smartphone.

A Mandatory site walkthrough will be scheduled on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 3:00 P.M., at the High

Point Detention Center, located at 507 East Grene Drive, High Point, NC. The walkthrough will be

conducted by the RND Architects, PA and the Guilford County Facilities Department.

Attendance is required for both the Pre-Bid ZoomGov Meeting and Site Walkthrough being held on

Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in order to submit a responsive bid! Bids received from individuals or

firms that do not attend both events will be considered non-responsive and will not be considered.

Service automated bidding system at: https://guilfordcountync.munisselfservice.com

Any and all DOCUMENT CLARIFICATION REQUEST concerning the bid documents are to be emailed

to the office of RND Architects, PA, 3608 University Drive, Suite 204, Durham, NC 27707, to the attention

of Charles Nickelson, AIA, Charles@RNSpa.com with a copy to Jared Skelton,

Jskelton@guilfordcountync.gov and Guilford County Purchasing, DG_Purchasing@guilfordcountync.gov

Respondents or their sub-contractors must be licensed to perform all fields of required work in North

Carolina. Participation of minority-owned and women-owned businesses is encouraged.

Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashiers check or certified check, payable to Guilford County in

the amount of not less than 5% of the bid.

A performance and payment bond will be required from the awarded Contractor for one hundred percent

(100%) of the contract price.

Guilford County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
