Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC (LLNS) is the management and
operating (M&O) contractor of the Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Lawrence
Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), a government-owned research facility in
Livermore, California. LLNS’s National Ignition Facility (NIF) requests information from qualified subcontractors to design and manufacture material transporter equipment to be operated and maintained onsite at LLNL site 200 for the Optics Facility Extension (OPFX) facility. The material transporter equipment will be utilized in both clean room Class 100 and Class 10,000 facilities for optical glass refurbishment procedures. LLNS specifically seeks production capabilities able to meet the requirements listed in Table 1 “Material Handling Lifter Requirements”
The delivered information should include the following:
- A list of current production capabilities for each requirement. Even if those capabilities fail to reach the requirement, discussion of how the requirement could be reached or relaxed is solicited.
