Electronic Information – Database Subscriptions for Libraries

Stony Brook University intends to purchase Electronic Databases utilizing a custom package from EBSCO Information Services to include: Index to Printed Music, RIPM Retrospective Index to Music Periodicals with Full Text, APA PsycTESTS, RILM Abstracts of Music Literature (former 1967 subscribers), MLA International Bibliography, and Atla Religion Database. This is pursuant to its authority under section 163 (3) (vi), which authorizes purchase of commodities, subscriptions from a consortium or comparable entity in lieu of using a centralized contract and without a formal competitive process when justified by price. If interested, vendors who sell equivalent products may contact the procurement officer listed below to discuss the procurement prior to the due date listed below.

A vendor who believes that they can provide this product/service or an equivalent should contact the designated contact. Inquiries must be received by the due date listed below. If an equivalent is offered, equivalency must be demonstrated by being compatible with existing equipment. If offering an equivalent, the vendor must provide free supporting documentation and product for examination, demonstration, and trial.

Contractor might be required to complete and submit documents related to Vendor Responsibility, NYS Finance Law 139 j&k, NYS Tax Law Section 5-A, valid and current NYS Workman's Compensation and Disability Forms.
