Project Description: This project builds a new one-story addition onto Concourse C at Terminal 1 between gate C3 and C4, and on Concourse G extends an electrical substation and replaces equipment. Civil work will include testing and disposal of contaminated soils, traffic control and perimeter security, pavement removal and replacement (airside and landside), pedestrian ramp and stair removal and replacement, curb and gutter removal and replacement, sanitary sewer, watermain, and signing and pavement markings, excavation, backfilling, fuel pump and fuel tank removals, and building demolition. Construction will include waterproofing, concrete work, masonry, structural steel framing and cold formed metal framing, metal wall panels, doors and a window, roofing, spray fireproofing, asbestos abatement, gyp board work, ceilings, and painting. Mechanical will include installation of VAVs, Fan Coil Units, Unit Heaters, and associated piping, ductwork, and controls. Plumbing will include installation of sanitary piping, flammable waste systems, water meter replacement and piping, miscellaneous fixtures and floor drains, and roof drains. Electrical will include re-routing of existing feeder to passenger boarding bridges, installation of panelboards and transformers, re-routing of existing circuits to replace and relocate panelboards, installation of duct banks for future use, installation of lighting fixtures and associated controls, and installation of data and access controls systems. At Concourse G, the electrical work includes removal of existing substation and replacing it with a new substation line-up including medium voltage switches, medium voltage to low voltage transformers, low voltage switchgear, installation of an Automatic Transfer Switch, and installation of panelboards and transformers. Existing medium voltage feeder, branch feeders and branch circuits will be extended to new equipment locations. Data drops and fire alarm detection and notification are also included in the scope.
