ELDREDGE PUBLIC LIBRARY SITE MASTER PLAN IMPROVEMENTS
564 Main Street, Chatham, MA 02633
The Town of Chatham is soliciting bids for the implementation of Site Master Plan Improvements at the Eldredge Public Library in Chatham, MA. The scope of improvements includes road, parking lot/sidewalk reconstruction, site re-grading, new concrete sidewalks, railings, lighting, wall construction and ADA access improvements. This project is being procured under M.G.L. C.30 §39M and does not require filed sub-bids or DCAMM Certification. This project is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including compliance with prevailing wage rates as stipulated under M.G.L. c.149, §27.

Addenda, if issued, will be sent by e-mail notification to every individual or firm on record as having received the Contract Documents. Bids for this project will be accepted from eligible bidders until 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, and will be publicly opened. Bid Deposits shall be submitted in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price including any alternates. The Bid Deposit shall be made payable to the Town of Chatham and shall be either in the form of cash, certified check, treasurer’s or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, or a bid bond issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; and shall be conditioned upon the faithful performance by the principal of the agreement contained in the bid. The successful general bidder will be required to furnish a Payment bond which shall be in the amount equal to fifty percent (50%) of the contract price.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the project site, located at 564 Main Street, Chatham, MA 02633 (weather permitting). Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
