NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals addressed to the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Maryland will be received at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Cumberland, Maryland 21502, until but not after 2:00 p.m.., local time, on 4/15/2026.  Proposals will be publicly opened and read at 2:30 p.m. on that dat e in City Hall Council Chambers. All proposals must be submitted in duplicate in a sealed envelope, plainly marked on the outside thereof ,

2026 ECWC WATERSHED TIMBER SALE
CITY PROJECT NO. 2026-8-MISC

This project includes the sale of approximately 196,778 Board Feet (1/4” International Form Class 78 Tree Scale) of timber at the Evitts Creek Watershed.

A timber showing is scheduled for March 26, 2026, at 8:00-10:00 a.m. at the proposed log landing site indicated on the map.  The gate to the timber sale will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on this date for prospective bidders to view the project site on their own.  The gate is located just south of the Lake Koon boat ramp on Evitts Creek Road. Please see the Location Map in Appendix B.

A Performance Bond in the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) shall be required of the successful bidder.

The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City.
