Sealed bids will be received by the Purchasing Agent at the City of Maryville Municipal Building

in the Engineering Conference Room (lower level) - 416 W. Broadway Ave., Maryville, Tennessee,

37801 - until 2:00 p.m., local time, March 17, 2026, at which time bids will be publicly opened

and read aloud. Sealed bids shall be a paper copy of the completed bid documents.

Each sealed envelope containing a bid must be plainly marked on the outside as Bid No. 18-26

for Eagleton Road Culvert Replacement.

The work of this contract generally consists of removal and replacement of approximately 48 feet of

failed 66x48 inch metal culvert with 80 feet of 48-inch twin metal culverts with concrete end wall

treatments, guard rail, and final site stabilization. The work will likely require a stream diversion in

order to perform the work in the dry.

No bids will be received or accepted after the above specified time for the opening of Bids. Bids

submitted after the designated hour will be deemed invalid and rejected.

Electronic copies of BIDDING DOCUMENTS may be examined and downloaded from both the City

of Maryville and the Knoxville Builders Exchange. Bidders are not required to purchase a set of

bid documents, however the appropriate forms must be printed and filled out as described in the

Instructions for Bidders.

BIDS shall be accompanied by a BID Guarantee bond in the amount of no less than five percent

(5%) of the BID made payable to City of Maryville, OWNER, and subject to the conditions provided

in the INSTRUCTION FOR BIDDERS. Bidders should submit with their bid a Drug-Free Workplace

Invitation to Bidders

Affidavit of Prime Bidder as required by TCA Section 50-9-113. A Title VI Disclosure should also

be included with the bid to assist with the City of Maryville’s compliance with Title VI of the Civil

Rights Act of 1964.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond

in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, each bond.

The project herein described as the base bid is to be completed by June 30, 2026. Please see the

Technical Specifications for further scheduling requirements. Liquidated damages for delay of

completion of contract will be in accordance with the Agreement (Contract).

All bidders must be able to demonstrate before the award of the contract that the proposer (and

subcontractors if applicable) has all appropriate licenses and certifications required in the State

of Tennessee to perform the Services.

This project is funded by the City of Maryville.

The Contractor shall comply with all State, Federal, and Local laws and/or regulations.

The OWNER reserves the right to waive any irregularities or reject any or all bids.

The City of Maryville does not discriminate based on race, color, or national origin in federal or

state approved programs, pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000d).
