Solicitation Description:

This request is to purchase a monitoring system and training. The WMATA system is designed to maintain defined service levels of headway and train consist (100% 8-car trains) with all wayside traction power equipment in service, or with a single rectifier-transformer unit outage. Failure conditions and substation offline for upgrades require reduction in operational speed and/or acceleration in the vicinity of the failed substation(s) /Substation Offline, or more severe curtailments in system performance (such as suspension of service.)
