The Work consists of an addition of (10) Classrooms and (2) Science Labs along with associated Workrooms, Offices, Orchestra Suite, and Restrooms to the original building which was completed in 2003. The original construction type was Type IB Construction (sprinklered) consisting of primarily load bearing construction. The new addition is also Type IB Construction (sprinklered) consisting of load bearing construction (with sprayed fire protection), and masonry infill with a brick veneer exterior. Additionally, the roof system is a Thermoplastic Polyolefin roof membrane on tapered insulation roof deck. The HVAC equipment is gas fired compact bi-polar ionization rooftop units. Also, included in the work are low voltage systems including fire alarm, intercom, surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
