Durham Campus-Renovation of Residence Halls-Phase 2

NCSSM is requesting design team qualifications submittals for the next phase of residence hall renovations at their Durham campus. The first phase included installation of modular swing space housing units and renovation of the residential spaces in Hill and Reynolds Halls. The next phase will include the residential spaces of Royall, Beall, Bryan, and Hunt Halls. NCSSM expects to contract a design team for the next two (2) residence halls and reserves the option to retain the selected design team for completion of all four (4) residence halls should they proceed within the next three years. The scope for each hall includes upgrade of interior finishes and fixtures in the dorm rooms, common rooms, corridors, and bathrooms, as well as any necessary infrastructure upgrades to MEP systems, envelope, life safety, and ADA access that may be triggered by the condition of existing systems and/or code-compliance.
