DT/UT Academic Buildings Roof Replacement - Husted Hall and Science Library

The State University of New York at Albany will receive sealed bids for project number P-1471 Phase 1 titled DT/UT Academic Buildings Roof Replacement - Husted Hall and Science Library until 2:30 p.m. local time on February 11, 2025, at University at Albany, Service Building “A”, 1400 Washington Ave., Albany, NY 12222 Room 103, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Work covered under this contract included but is not limited to the following:

Removal and replacement of the existing EPDM roof and associated insulation, removal and reinstallation of adjacent metal roofing to ensure a weather-tight detail, replacement of all associated roofing accessories, including walkway pads and flashings; removal and replacement of the existing safety railing system, removal and reinstallation of the lightning protection system to maintain functionality. Testing existing roof drains, which will remain in place.

All work on this Contract is to be completed within 240 calendar days, starting five (5) calendar days after the contract approval date of New York State Comptroller.

A pre-bid walkthrough to review the scope of work and site conditions will be held on Tuesday January 28, 2025, at 11:00 am. Interested parties to meet at University at Albany, Service Building “A”, 1400 Washington Ave., Albany, NY 12222 Room 103. Where the architect will review the project drawings and specifications prior to the site visit at the Husted Hall & Science Library roofs. This is not mandatory but is highly recommended that anyone truly interested in this job attends a site visit.

Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.

All work shall be in accordance with construction drawings and specifications. Contractor must be able to secure a performance bond for the full amount of their bid and should be prepared to anticipate a value in excess of $3,500,000 for this project. Please note that this project is exempt from Wicks Law .
