Infrastructure
.1 Removal of the existing preheat coil from AHU 9 and replacement with a new preheat coil of equal size and capacity.
.2 Verification and confirmation of all coil dimensions by the contractor prior to ordering and installation.
.3 Removal of the tube bundle from Heat Exchanger 3. Inspection of the heat exchanger casing is to be completed, and findings reported back to the Province. Replacement of the casing shall be reviewed if found to be deficient or damaged.
.4 Replacement of all associated shut-off valves with new Quarter turn ball valves.
.5 Disconnection and separation of the glycol piping from the heating system piping within the mechanical room to establish two independent systems.
.6 Removal and replacement of the existing glycol expansion tank with a new glycol-compatible expansion tank.
.7 Installation of an Axiom fill tank and re-filling of the glycol system with a Propylene Glycol mixture rated to -40°C.
.8 Completion of all associated piping modifications, reconnections, and insulation restoration required to support the above scope.
.9 Flushing of all newly installed sections of piping and equipment to remove debris, contaminants, or residual flux prior to final commissioning.
.10 Air testing of all newly installed coils in accordance with current industry standards to confirm integrity and performance.
.11 Verification air testing of all welded components where repairs or modifications have been completed, ensuring no leaks and full operational safety.
.12 Installation or replacement of all required supports, hangers, and vibration isolation components to meet current codes and manufacturer requirements.
.13 Restoration or replacement of all disturbed mechanical insulation to match existing thermal protection and fire-rating standards and color.
.14 Proper identification and labeling of all new components, piping circuits, valves, and tanks in accordance with applicable standards and site requirements.
.15 Final system start-up, balancing (if required), and commissioning to ensure operational functionality in alignment with design intent.
.16 Submission of all test reports, as-built documentation, and verification records to the Province upon completion of work.
