| Sections 3.4.6.3 and 3.4.7.3 require the Contractor to "Install HCPS-approved replacement filters," but the solicitation does not define the criteria for HCPS approval. Given that these filters treat drinking water consumed daily by students and staff, will HCPS require all replacement filters furnished under this contract to be certified to NSF/ANSI 42 (chlorine, taste, and odor reduction), NSF/ANSI 53 (health effects, including lead reduction), and NSF/ANSI 401 (emerging compounds, including microplastics), with third-party-certified PFOA/PFOS (PFAS) reduction claims? If not, please define the minimum performance and certification standards a replacement filter must meet to be considered "HCPS-approved." | 7/20/2026 2:46:19 PM | See attachment 26233-ITB-MST Filter Standards | 7/23/2026 3:07:02 PM |
| Will HCPS require Bidders to submit, as part of the Bid response, manufacturer specification sheets and current certification listings (verifiable in the NSF, IAPMO, or WQA public listing databases) for the specific replacement filter models proposed, so that HCPS may verify compliance with the applicable standards prior to award? | 7/20/2026 2:46:34 PM | Yes, vendors MUST submit manufacturer specification sheets and current certification listings for the specific replacement filter models proposed, so that HCPS may verify compliance with the applicable standards prior to award | 7/23/2026 2:02:09 PM |
