Dried Meat Lake Pit #1 Gravel Crushing which includes the mining, crushing, screening and stockpiling of gravel in the following quantities and sizes:

35,000 m – Modified Specification 4:25 Gravel

at NW24-45-20-W4M

SAFETY QUALIFICATIONS

Contracts will only be awarded to Contractors who, prior to the time fixed for receiving tenders, possess a Certificate of Recognition (COR) which is relevant to their industry and which is recognized by Alberta Human Resources and Employment, Workplace Health and Safety.

Contractors are advised that a small employer Certificate of Recognition (for employers with less than ten employees) is considered acceptable.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

It is mandatory that the Contractor secure and maintain such insurance as will protect himself, his employees and the County from claims for death, bodily injury, or property damage. The following is the minimum insurance coverage required:

a) Worker's Compensation - as required by the laws of the Province of Alberta.
b) Public Liability or Property Damage - $5,000,000.00.
c) Automobile Public Liability or Property Damage - $5,000,000.00.
d) Commercial General Liability - $5,000,000.00

Bidders may submit Tenders only up to 2:00:00 p.m. local time on SEPTEMBER 3, 2026.

Bidders must submit Tenders on the forms issued with this Tender Document.

It shall be the Bidder’s responsibility to confirm with the County that its bid has been received prior to Tender closing.

When submitting a Tender, all pages under Schedule “C” – Tender Documents and all Addenda issued by the County must be submitted, in a sealed envelope marked, "DRIED MEAT LAKE PIT#1 GRAVEL CRUSHING - Contract 2026-GC01", at the above- noted address.

A Bidder must indicate its name and address clearly in the upper left-hand corner of the envelope so that the Tender submission can be identified.

The bid bond accompanying the Tender, in the amount of 10% of the Tender and made out to
Camrose County, must be signed and sealed, by both the Bidder or his authorized representative, and the Bonding Company. If a certified cheque or bank draft is used in lieu of a bid bond, it shall be made payable to the “Camrose County”. Omission of the certified cheque or bid bond shall invalidate the tender and shall be cause for rejection of the bid.

A pre-Tender meeting will be held August 25, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Dried Meat Lake Pit #1 (NW-24-45-20-W4).

Attendance to this meeting is MANDATORY for prospective bidders. Attendance will be taken, and failure to attend this meeting will be cause for the rejection of a tender.
