Downtown Rail Replacement Project (21% DBE Goal for design phase and 21% DBE Goal for construction phase)

The RFP seeks to obtain a contractor to plan, design and reconstruct light rail from 7th Street and West Colfax Avenue to 30th Street and North Downing Street. It comprises approximately 13,000 linear feet of track through eight stations. The scope of work includes certain ancillary tasks related to rebuilding high block platforms, complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA") and the most recent ADA Public Right-of-Way accessibility guidelines, and upgrading tactile warning strips, electric and lighting systems, and signage and striping.

The structure of the contract will be Progressive Design Build. The scope for this effort includes:
• Project Validation
• Design Services
• Construction Services

The design is planned to begin in the Spring of 2025. Pending completion of design and successful agreement on a Guaranteed Maximum Price, construction will begin late 2025 - early 2026 and be completed in 2027.
