2024-2025 Domestic and Sexual Violence Program Support Services

Pierce County, through an appropriation of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, as outlined in the 2024-2025 biennial budget (Ordinance No. 2023-44s2), has made available $500,000 for the purpose of providing Domestic and Sexual Abuse services and supports to eligible Pierce County residents.  The period of performance upon execution of the contract; and shall end December 31, 2025.

In October 2022, the Pierce County Council solicited the services of a contractor to evaluate and make recommendations on the county’s approach to domestic violence services and prevention. By December 2023, after a year of conducting research, interviews, and performing studies on the current domestic violence system in Pierce County, the Performance Audit Committee provided their evaluation of and recommendations for the County’s approach to gender-based violence services .
