TransLink is issuing this Request for Information (“RFI”) to solicit submissions from qualified and experienced proponents who can provide technology solution for hand-free, contactless elevator control.
TransLink has initiated the Hands-Free/Contactless Elevator (HFCE) Pilot Project with the following core objectives: Improve station accessibility for all user groups, particularly those with limited manual dexterity; Implement one or more hands-free/contactless elevator control technology/ies at a selection of key SkyTrain station locations; Collect user and technical feedback on the technology/ies implemented; and Decide on whether/how to move forward with one technology at a wider array of stations. Through this RFI, TransLink will shortlist qualified vendors for an ensuing direct Request for Proposal (RFP)
