Department of Corrections -Western Region - Red Onion and Wallens Ridge State Prisons

The Virginia Department of Corrections Red Onion State Prison located at 10800 H. Jack Rose Highway, Pound, VA 24279 and Wallens Ridge State Prison located at 272 Dogwood Drive, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219 are in need of psychiatrist and psychiatric nurse practitioner services for up to 20 hours per week at each facility. The initial term of any resulting contract will be for one year, and the contract may be renewed in accordance with Section II, Paragraph D. of the RFP. The Provider will provide psychiatric care and services for a population of approximately 723 male inmates at Red Onion and approximately 1,011 male inmates at Wallens Ridge. Telehealth capabilities are available; however, onsite services are preferred. The compensation and hours are negotiable.
