The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (“District”) requests proposals from experienced and qualified master arborists to monitor the tree health for young and/or mature trees, large tree shrubs, and palm species to maintain long-term health and viability of the landscape on an as needed and emergency basis throughout the District for a three-year (3) contract term.
Contractors or their subcontractors must have the following certifications:
• International Society of Arboriculture (“ISA”) Master Arborist
• ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (“TRAQ”)
• Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (“FDACS”) Certified Pest Control Operator (“CPCO”)
• Tree Care Industry Association (“TCIA”) Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
• FDOT Advanced TTC Certification
• FDOT Basic Flagger Certification
• Florida Green Industries Best Management Practices (“B.M.P”) Certification
Contractor must provide all labor, material, equipment, supervision, transportation, tools, and all other things necessary to provide specialized techniques and experience for documentation and care to monitor decline of tree health and necessary removals of trees to include, but not limited to tree trimming, tree removal throughout District property. Services require:
• Geotagging and tree risk assessments
• Structural pruning for young and established trees
• Soil aeration and root crown excavation
• Application of tree growth regulators
• Fertilization via subterranean liquid injection
• Insecticide and fungicide applications
• Cabling and bracing
• Root barriers and root pruning
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Tree trimming of all trees (to include palm tree trimming/pruning)
• Stump grinding
• Emergency tree work and after hours call outs
