Districtwide Miscellaneous Utility Negotiation Activities

The Department desires to obtain services from the Consultant for performance of utility negotiation work of a minor nature including, but not limited to:

1. Identification of existing/proposed utility facilities.
2. Assist District Legal staff in determination of eligibility of compensable interests and assist District Professional Services with any related information as needed.
3. Resolution of conflicts between utility facilities and proposed construction.
4. Documentation of utility company activities for the project’s special provisions, plans and notes.
5. Securing of executed legal agreements to clear a project for letting as stipulated by State and Federal guidelines.
6. Analyze and certify utility relocation schedules for compatibility to FDOT construction schedule.
7. Assist in the preparation of presentations for all liaison meetings and Design conferences.
8. Attend and participate in all local utility liaison meetings, provide pertinent information to the utility companies, and take and distribute meeting minutes to appropriate personnel.
9. Assist the Department on an as needed basis during construction with utility issues.
10. Other staff support services as directed by the District Utility Administrator / Engineer.
