| Scope of Services |
To support continued interest and growth for renewable energy in Florida, SECO Energy is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide turnkey services including design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations support for the deployment of USDA New ERA funded three microgrid projects. The primary purpose of these systems is to provide a highly reliable source of back-up power for each campus during grid outages. The secondary goal is to dispatch the DER systems for peak demand reduction. A tertiary goal is to provide solar generation which can be exported for sale to SECO members. These projects are intended to advance SECO Energy’s transition to clean, reliable, and affordable energy while meeting greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goals required by USDA and federal law. With over 256K active accounts (90/10 residential/commercial split), SECO Energy is the third largest electric cooperative in Florida and the seventh largest in the entire United States. The service territory area is approximately 2,000 square miles. The Contractor shall provide all qualified labor, equipment, tools, vehicles, documentation and supervision to perform all facets of overhead distribution line work and incidental underground work within SECO`s service territory (the “Services” or “Work”).
