The Brookline Housing Authority (BHA) seeks proposals from Brookline-based nonprofit organizations to assist with the disbursement of $100,000 in federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds in direct payments to eligible residents of the Brookline Housing Authority (BHA). The selected organization will act as an intermediary, responsible for screening, processing, and issuing payments in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements. To be considered, proposers must:
Be based in or have a significant presence in Brookline; and
Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the low-income residents in Brookline and the Brookline Housing Authority.
Preference will be given to organizations with existing partnerships or service history with BHA or direct experience serving BHA residents. Additional preference will be given to organizations with experience or imminent plans for direct payment programs for low-income households. Proposals must be submitted by July 7, 2025 by 10am via email to dmendola@brooklinehousing.org.
