Amendment 0001 provides responses the questions and answers received.

1. Can you provide the manufacturer, model, dimensions, and connection sizes/configurations for the existing carbon and DI tanks? See Attachment 2 - Pictures of Tanks

2. What carbon media and mixed-bed resin specifications are required? See Attachment 2 - Pictures of Tanks

3. Is there specific capacity, water-quality, or testing standards the regenerated tanks must meet? Both primary and polished water is expected to be 17M¿

4. Approximately how many tank exchanges are expected during the 365-day period? Variable depending on number of studies conducted. Carbon tank typically exchanged once per year. Mixed bed tanks: 2 mixed bed tanks typically changed out every 9 months under typical lab water loads, every 2 months during multiple ongoing studies.

5. Should our freight pricing include both delivery of the regenerated tanks and return of the exhausted tanks? Yes, freight should include both delivery of new tanks and shipment of depleted tanks back to the vendor.

6. Is August 7 the proposal due date, or only the date through which pricing must remain valid? August 7th is when the proposals are due.

7. Is this for one carbon tank and one DI tank, or more? Depending on DI/RO water use, replacement request may be for any combination of carbon tank or mixed bed tanks.

8. Does USGS have the ability to take a skid of 6 DI Tanks at once and use them until exhaustion? That would save on the cost. No, we do not have any storage site for extra tanks.
