The Alaska Department of Family and Community Services (DFCS) is seeking professional design services to provide bid ready construction documents for renovations and upgrading to current floor plan in the Court Plaza Building. DFCS seeks to reconfigure the existing 5th floor plan to better accommodate staff and improve overall operational efficiency.  The requested design renovation plans are to include upgrades of office partitions, walling, soundproofing, possible building system modifications, replacement of carpeting, etc. The Court Plaza Building is located at 240 Main Street, Juneau, Alaska 99801.

Consultant will provide complete architectural/engineering services necessary to design the project, prepare construction documents, assist with bidding, and support construction. Services include but, are not limited to:

• Existing conditions verification

• Architectural design and Structural engineering and code design review

• Mechanical engineering

• Electrical engineering

• Fire protection engineering (as required)

• Acoustic design

• Development of the Plan Specifications and Cost Estimate for bidding

• Cost estimating

• Permitting coordination

• Bid support

• Architect shall provide Construction Administration Services, including design support during construction, review of submittals, evaluation and response to RFIs and change order requests, and guidance to maintain alignment with the design intent

Prebid walk-thru will take place on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
