RFP - Design and Install Cooke Park Splash Pad
NOTICE TO PROPOSERS
The City of Galesburg, Illinois, hereby invites sealed proposals for the design and installation of a splash pad to be installed at Cooke Park in the City of Galesburg for the Parks and Recreation Department. This project is funded in whole or in part with grant funds from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO). Attention is called to the fact that 1) not less than the Federal prevailing wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project unless Illinois Prevailing Wage is greater; 2) The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3, 24 CFR Part 75; 3) The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin and 4) the project has Business Enterprise Program (BEP) Utilization Plan requirements. Proposals will be received until 11:00 a.m., local time, February 4, 2026, at the office of the Purchasing Agent; located in City Hall, 55 W Tompkins St, Galesburg, IL, 61401. Proposal forms may be obtained at the office of the Purchasing Agent located at City Hall or online at ww.ci.galesburg.il.us. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond and Performance Bonds will be required for this project. The submission of a proposal by the offeror in response to this Advertisement for Proposals constitutes an acknowledgement of and an agreement by the Offeror that it understands and will comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the Illinois Preference Act (30 ILCS 570). Resolution No. 90-74 requires compliance with the Human Relations Act and all pertinent federal and state rules and regulations. Vendors will be required to comply with all applicable EEO laws and regulations. The City will award a contract for the proposal that best meets the goals of the project and is most advantageous to the City of Galesburg; price and other factors considered.
