The City of Maple Ridge (the “City”) requests Proposals from experienced and qualified firms to provide Engineering design and consulting services including construction administration and inspections for the expansion of Maple Ridge’s 270A Street drinking water reservoir site located at 12330 270A Street, in Maple Ridge, BC.

The assignment is to encompass but is not necessarily limited to the following deliverables within the required Engineering Services:
  • Upgrades to the “Preliminary Site Plan” including the design and review of vehicle turning movements to accommodate F550 or equivalent
  • Water pressure reducing valve (PRV) this task will include the review of precast structures, internal working clearances, hatches, internal process plumbing of the chamber, sump pump design, description of materials, dimensions, etc
  • Water (PRV) chamber the proponent shall provide an optional price for the design of the PRV chamber and all components should a precast option not be feasible.
  • 1.6ML Glass fused to steel bolted steel tank including the design of internal process piping, ladders and platforms, rooftop platforms, tank foundation rebar, foundation details. The intention is to provide enough design information that contractors can approach approved tank suppliers to build it to our specifications. The Contractor will submit shop drawings for the tank, ladders etc, under seal of their Professional Engineer, registered in the Province of BC. Additionally, the tank supplier will provide and seal rebar design and foundation designs. The City’s Engineer will review the Contractors design drawings to ensure that they meet the original design intent.
Construction Administration and Inspection including chairing the startup meeting, bi-weekly on-site meetings during construction, part-time inspection, 1-year warranty walkthrough and report.
