Design-Build Services for Harry Thomas Recreation Center Modernization

The District of Columbia (the “District”) Department of General Services (the “Department” or “DGS”) is issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) to solicit design-build proposals (“Proposal(s)”) from offerors (“Offeror(s)”) interested in serving as the design-builder (the “Design-Builder” or the “Contractor”) for the modernization of Harry Thomas Recreation Center, located at 1743 Lincoln Road NE, Washington, DC 20002 (the “Project”).

The existing 11,910 square foot Harry Thomas Recreation Center site has an outdoor pool that attracts the whole community. Outside is a beautiful field with a track and one of the nation’s best playgrounds, along with basketball and tennis courts. Inside, the center boasts a computer lab, a kitchen, and a multi-purpose room. In addition, the Center offers a variety of outdoor sports programs (basketball, tee-ball, and soccer), after-school programs, and summer camps.
