Description
Project Description: The City and County of Honolulu (City) Department of Transportation Services (DTS), in partnership with the State of Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (HDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is seeking a Design-Builder to design and construct a new pedestrian bridge over the Ala Wai Canal on the Island of O’ahu. The Ala Wai Pedestrian Bridge will have a clear span of approximately three hundred (300) feet and will connect University Avenue corridor to Waikīkī at Kālaimoku Street. The Project addresses a long-standing need for safe, non-motorized access across the canal. The total construction and final design funding in the current adopted Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is FIFTY FIVE MILLION, TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY THOUSAND AND NO/00 DOLLARS ($55,280,000.00). This design-build Project will be awarded using a two-part procurement process.
