This contract includes all functions, tasks and responsibilities normally performed by a Movers and Handlers Service provider to include administering, delivering, handling, storing, turning-in, and shipping of furniture needed from Desert Sage Medical Home located at 7400 Helen of Troy Dr, El Paso, TX 79912. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to Federal Law and Texas State Law(s), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Army and installation regulations. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing qualified personnel, equipment, vehicles, tools, materials, supervision, customer service, and any other item and service necessary to perform the tasks stated for this Performance Work Statement. The Contractor shall provide the required service of Government owned furniture and equipment to and from delivery and pick up locations. The Contractor shall exercise reasonable care to avoid any practices that may adversely affect the environment which may in turn place the Government in a controversial position. All work shall be performed in a timely and professional manner. This will require loading and unloading of furniture and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds or more. The Contractor shall be responsible for any damages caused by the contract employees to Government property and to the FMO warehouses. The Contractor shall deliver, setup and pick-up to include assembly, disassembly, palletize for storage and disconnect electrical wiring attached to modular workstations from wall outlets of furniture at 7400 Helen of Troy Dr, El Paso, TX 79912 deliver to Warehouse building 11156 Edwards Street Fort Bliss 79918, SFMC 2496 Ricker Road Fort Bliss 79916 and Mendoza AHC 11335 SSG Sims Street Fort Bliss 79918. The Contractor shall pick up damaged/unserviceable furniture from 7400 Helen of Troy Dr, El Paso, TX 79912 and deliver it to Warehouse building 11156 Edwards Street Fort Bliss 79918. The Contractor must be a qualified Herman Miller Certificate holder. This includes but is not limited to the specific certification within the Certified Dealer Network that focuses on ensuring accurate, consistent, and reliable furniture installations. Dealers must have a documented system for assessing and training their installers, and individual installers must complete the required training or demonstrate thorough knowledge. The Contractor shall disassemble all required items to ensure safe movement and delivery at destination. All nuts, bolts, screws, small hardware and other fasteners removed from furniture and equipment by the Contractor shall be placed in a bag, or similar durable container, and securely attached to the items from which removed. The Contractor must be able to carry the furniture into and out of buildings and climb stairs from one to three floors. Contractor shall provide gloves, steel toes boots, safety belts and any other personal protective equipment required by OSHA.
