NOTICE TO BIDDERS
November 14, 2023
Sealed Bids on behalf of City of Richmond Public Schools, will be received in the Procurement and Property
Management Department, 2325 Maury Street, Richmond, VA 23224, no later than 2:00 p.m. local time
prevailing, January 9, 2024 and then publicly opened and read immediately thereafter for the following:
Invitation for Bid #23-7061-11, Construction - New George Wythe High School (RHSA)
Scope of Work: This work is generally comprised of the construction of a new two- story high school
building, totaling approximately 281,969 square feet including: site development, mechanical,
electrical, plumbing, fire protection, interior build-out, and finishes. The new high school building
consists of two, two-story classroom wings, a two-story Auditorium, a one-story Gymnasium and a
one-story core area. The new school building has no basement. The new school building will be located
on the existing baseball and football fields east of the existing school building. New parking lots and
driveways will be constructed around the new school building.
Please direct any and all questions regarding the Invitation for Bid and/or Invitation for Bid
Documents in writing to Mary Beth Reed, Construction Procurement Manager, at
mreed3@rvaschools.net. Questions must be received no later than December 7, 2023.
Pre-Bid Conference:
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on November 29, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. The conference
will be held at: George Wythe High School 4314 Crutchfield St. Richmond, VA 23225. Contractors
must sign in at the front desk and will be escorted to the auditorium. A site visit walk will follow.
Attendance is encouraged; however, it is not mandatory in order for your bid to be considered for award.
Invitation for Bid Documents:
Drawings and Invitation for Bid Documents will be provided electronically via download ink at no cost
to the bidder here: https://infoexchange.rrmm.com/UserWeb/Login/Login.aspx?v=0.
Electronic Documents: Project documents (Invitation for Bids, Project Manuals, Drawings, and any
other applicable documents) provided electronically are solely for use by the Bidder for the convenience
of preparing a bid response for the project. Electronic documents shall not be altered, and shall not be
reproduced for any purpose other than the express purpose stated above. Any conclusion or information
obtained or derived from such electronic files will be at the Bidder’s risk. If there is a discrepancy
between the electronic files and the hard copies on file with the County, the hard copies govern. If
CAD files are available, RPS does not release, nor authorize its engineering and design consultants to
release them prior to execution of the Notice to Proceed.
