Bid Description:
The Town of Derby is looking for proposals that will include the following:

•        Removing the existing metal roof and disposal.
•        Removing the existing 2x4 strapping and replacing it with new strapping, 2x4 SPF (Spruce/Pine/Fir) graded Number 2 or better, 2 ft on center. Joints on the new strapping must be staggered.
•        Install new 26-gauge metal roofing and ridge cap (Evergreen color) screwed to new 2x4 strapping.
•        Roofing Panel can be the following or similar manufactures that meet the following:
o        26 Gauge MasterRib PTD Galvalume roofing panel
o        Extra wide ribs 3/4 inch high for increased strength
o        Panel has a 36-inch-wide coverage
o        Oversized anti-siphoning channel for extra leak resistance
o        Exposed fastener design
o        Meets standards for UL 2218 impact resistance
•        Minor repairs to some rafters may be required. Please quote an hourly rate for time and material for these repairs.

The main portion of the Town Garage is 160 ft by 45 ft (including the eave overhang) with an 8 ft by 30 ft addition centered on the east side and a 10 ft by 10 ft addition on the southwest corner. The roof has a 6:12 pitch and the rafters are 4 ft on center. This section of the building needs the roof and strapping replaced. The other section is a 20 year old 35 ft by 64 ft addition (including the eave overhang) on the south end of the building. This section of the building only needs the roof replaced. One side of the roof is a 6:12 pitch and the other side is a 3:12 pitch.
