NOTICE OF INTENT: Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(c), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District (USACE) will be soliciting proposals for the renovation of an aircraft hangar at Patrick Space Force Base, FL. As part of the construction contract solicitation, the USACE intends to include the following sole source requirements:
Monaco Fire Alarm Control Panel MAAP-X
Radient Energy (optical) flame detection devices manufactured by Detector Electronics Corporation (Det-tronics)
Door keying system and lock cores manufactured by Best Coremax
Building Network Controllers and electric metering systems manufactured by Schneider Electric or electric metering systems manufactured by Siemens
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
This Notice is a market research tool being used to determine the availability of other qualified sources that can provide the equipment and maintenance identified above. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent. All responses received within 15 days of the posting of this notice of intent will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determine whether to allow alternate system manufacturers.
