DOE’s Office of Environmental Management will sponsor an Industry Day currently anticipated for Wednesday May 27th 2026 at Willow Creek Building, 1955 Fremont Ave, Idaho Falls Idaho, 83415. Time will be 8:00am (MST) Potential attendees should e-mail Aaron S. Nebeker; nebekeas@id.doe.gov for more information. See updated Attachment.

April 22, 2026 - The Department of Energy (DOE), is issuing this Request for Application (RFA) to solicit proposals from entities interested in entering into a long-term lease for property located at the DOE Office of Environmental Management (EM) cleanup site in Idaho, for the purpose of a large scale demonstration of the commercial viability of recycling defense-related used nuclear fuel (UNF) currently in storage at the site.



Submit any questions related to the RFA to by Tuesday May 19th 2026.



DOE’s Office of Environmental Management will sponsor an Industry Day event to explain and answer questions about the solicitation process.
