The scope of work consists of the complete demolition of the existing building located at 1015 East Jefferson Street, Montgomery, Alabama, including all associated architectural, structural, civil, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical components. Work includes the removal of the entire structure down to and including foundations, footings, slabs, canopies, walls, roofs, doors, windows, flooring, and all interior and exterior building elements. All existing utilities serving the building—including water, sanitary sewer, storm, gas, electrical, and communication systems—shall be properly disconnected, capped, abandoned, or removed in accordance with applicable utility authority requirements and governing codes. Demolition shall also include the removal of all associated flatwork, sidewalks, pavements, pads, site features, and abandoned playground elements within the project limits. All demolition debris shall be legally hauled off-site and disposed of at approved facilities. The contractor shall obtain all required permits, coordinate with utility providers, maintain site safety and erosion control measures, and protect utilities and site elements designated to remain. Upon completion of demolition, the site shall be backfilled, graded, and stabilized to provide positive drainage and left in a clean, safe condition in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
