The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) seeks the services of a qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) for the Design-Build ? Demolition, Design and Construction of the Carpentry Lab (Building 4) at the Woodstock Job Corps Center in Woodstock, Maryland.
The work involves services for the design and construction of the demolition of the carpentry shop portion of Building 4 and a new Carpentry Shop addition to Building 4 at the Woodstock Job Corps Center. The building addition will total approximately 644 gross square feet. The work includes, but is not limited to, miscellaneous site improvements in the form of drainage, connection to all utility lines and site/security lighting.
The design shall comply with identified and targeted standards established by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system; however, no LEED Certification is required.
The prime evaluation factor is as follows:
1. Prime Vendors Experience/Past Performance
The sub evaluation factors are as follows:
1. Previous Project Experience Similar to this Project's Size and Scope (At least 3 projects within the last 5 years) Provide location and the project (City, State), the project value, and a brief and concise description of the project scope.
2. Prime Vendors Project Superintendent Experience of Projects of Similar Size and Scope (At least 3 projects within the last 5 years).
Prime Vendors OSHA certification credentials.
A 20% bid guarantee is required for this project.
Who May Respond
Interest in this solicitation announcement is open to all SDVOSB type businesses relative to the primary NAICS code 236220 with a Small Business Standard of $36.5 million. The magnitude of this procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000.
The successful offeror shall be registered via the System for Award Management (SAM) internet site at https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/##11 .
The site visit will take place on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11:00 am Eastern Time.
The deadline for questions is Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 3:00 pm Eastern Time.
Bid Due Date
The deadline for submittal of offers is Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm Eastern Time.
